Risks You can bring to Prague . ACCESS.

When you travel to Prague, it's essential to be mindful of the prevalent issue of pickpocketing, which includes passport theft. I bet you already know the risks it might happen to you while in Prague, but have you considered the impact you might have on the city itself?🤔

Prague has always been a popular tourist city before Covid. But now Covid is over, tourists will return to Prague again, fueling worries in Prague, like creating a housing crisis and damaging the style and the fabric of the Gothic and Renaissance city vibe. Disrupting the lives of locals with excessive people in the clubs or restaurants. Also, too many tourists caused the temporary shutdown of Prague Paternoster and left graffiti on the cabins (Johnston, 2023).

To address the over-tourism issue, choosing a different time to visit Prague is important. You can secure cheaper and more flexible options by making reservations well in advance, preferably a month prior. If I travel to Prague, I will choose early in June or the End of August, as fewer tourists will be there. I plan my trips and try to find some unofficial tourist sites to visit, like exploring street art (Yellow Penguins), and visiting unusual landmarks (e.g., The Vrtba Garden). I will also check about the local customs, respect their culture (view my previous blog), and follow the rules. Lastly, always exercise caution when handling your wallet and passport, as tourists can also become targets. While we bring risks to the local community, it's essential to prioritize our safety.🥰
