Czech's People is Unfriendly ?
Czech is a beautiful country; however, it also got its own stereotypes.
Before visiting Prague to visit my friend, I heard that Czech people are unfriendly and cold. I always take it with a grain of salt when I hear something like that. I am the kind of person who
always have preconceived notions about other people or place, so when I heard this, I fell hesitated to go there or not.
The people here don't seem indifferent. Walking on the road, I found that the people of the Czech Republic are not like the Chinese or Australians. They sometimes speak loudly on the street and do not often smile at strangers on the road. But if you communicate with them, they will be much more enthusiastic. So, after coming to Prague, I didn't feel cold or unhappy.
I think the place essentialism here, what people give to Czech stereotypes, could let many people who don’t want to go there or don’t like them is they meet Czech somewhere else. They will miss not only the beautiful landscape and architecture, also the truth about the Czech people. I think all these stereotypes can exist means some people are. To vanish all this essentialism, The Czech government should try something to increase happiness and the economy and also advertise them on the Internet.
